Initially, we were going to use the local setting of Sevenoaks, however we have begun to lean towards focusing on the less fortunate character, and so felt that we needed somewhere more degraded and "run-down."
After much deliberation, we decided to use the ever-popular setting of London. It's contrasting districts, along with the combination of large, expensive homing coupled with housing estates, will immediately get our audience into the ideas of class and status. We also feel that, due to London's council estates being notorious for graffiti, gang culture and other anti-social behaviours, that it makes the perfect setting for our less-fortunate man.
One of the places we have considered to be appropriate for our setting is Grove Park in London. After exploring the area on a recently updated version of Google Maps, we felt that, although there was some middle and upper class housing, we have found an area not too far from a train station, where it is a much grubbier, rougher looking area, with buildings that have obviously never been re-built.
We will also need an office, for our more fortunate character, however this will only be for a minimal amount of shots, and so we have decided to use a school office, or an office at Fidelity International, as one of us has contact with the Health & Safety Manager there.
I will update when we have confirmed all locations.
