Casting

Casting is obviously a vital part of social realism, as we need it to look authentic.

We attended the Theatrical Monologues of the year below us, as this gave us another avenue of auditioning.
After viewing the performance, we decided we liked the two male actors, and so I made sure to get profile images of them (front and side view)

 Although both performances were fantastic, especially the second of the two, we felt that both of them looked too young to be either one of our characters. This led us to explore other avenues, and we began by considering who we all knew personally, as those were the people who we could easily contact and audition.
